Today, as we commemorate the 18th anniversary of the most catastrophic singular attack on American soil in our history, many public speakers, politicians and pundits will try to find words to capture the significance of 9/11/2001.  Such words will prove inadequate to that task.

The tragic sacrifice of our police, firefighters, and innocent civilians is too sacred an event for words and speeches to honor the fallen sufficiently.  I hope all patriotic Americans will take a moment or two out of their busy lives today for silence, to honor their memory, or prayer, to thank them for the ultimate sacrifice.
